Southeast University (SEU), located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of six dynasties, is a prestigious university with an outstanding reputation both at home and abroad. As a National Key University administered directly by the Ministry of Education of China and jointly supported by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, SEU is also designated as a key university under China's national “Project 985” and “Project 211”. In 2017, SEU was selected as a Class A university for the Construction of World-class Universities in China.
The computer discipline at SEU originated from the major of "Computing Devices and Techniques" established in 1960, making it one of the earliest computer majors in China. The College of Software Engineering was founded in 2001 as one of the first 35 "National Model Software Schools" in the country. The School of Artificial Intelligence was established in 2018 as one of the first 35 universities authorized to offer the Artificial Intelligence major. Currently, the School offers doctoral programs and postdoctoral research stations in two first-level disciplines, Computer Science and Technology and Software Engineering, as well as an interdisciplinary doctoral program in Intelligent Science and Technology. Among these, "Computer Science and Technology" has been selected as a national "Double First-Class" construction discipline in the first batch, and "Software Engineering" has been designated as a Superior Discipline of Jiangsu Province.
The School hosts several provincial and ministerial-level disciplinary platforms, including the Key Laboratory of Computer Network and Information Integration (Ministry of Education), the Key Laboratory of New Generation Artificial Intelligence Technologies and its Interdisciplinary Applications (Ministry of Education), the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Network and Information Security, and the Jiangsu Provincial International Joint Laboratory for Medical Information Processing. The School currently has over 150 faculty and staff members, including a high-quality teaching team comprising more than ten national high-level talents. 1. Leading Talent
Basic Requirements:
Holding a doctoral degree, and currently serving as a professor (or equivalent) in a renowned domestic university or research institution, or as an associate professor or higher (or equivalent) in a prestigious overseas university or research institution. The candidate should be a professional technical expert with a high level of scientific research and strong capability for technological innovation.
Possessing solid knowledge, competent to teach core undergraduate courses; demonstrating profound academic achievements that have gained recognition from peers both domestically and internationally; capable of leading the discipline to catch up with or surpass advanced international levels; exhibiting strong leadership, organizational, and coordination skills to guide academic teams in collaborative research.
2. Outstanding Young Talent
Basic Requirements:
Holding a doctoral degree from a top-tier university or research institution at home or abroad, under the age of 40.
Generally, the candidate should have held formal teaching or research positions at a prestigious university, research institution, or corporate R&D center at home or abroad, with three or more consecutive years of work experience. For researchers who obtained their doctoral degree overseas and have achieved outstanding research results or other remarkable accomplishments, the work experience requirement may be appropriately relaxed.
Having achieved outstanding results in their research field that are widely recognized by peers at home and abroad, and demonstrating the potential to become an academic leader or outstanding talent in the field.
3. Excellent Young Talent
Basic Requirements:
Holding a doctoral degree from a top-tier university or research institution at home or abroad, under the age of 40 (age requirement may be appropriately relaxed for those with outstanding achievements).
Possessing broad academic vision and innovative thinking, having achieved notable research results, and showing strong potential for future development.
4. Lecturer
Basic Requirements:
Holding a doctoral degree from a top-tier university or research institution at home or abroad, under the age of 35 (age requirement may be appropriately relaxed for those with outstanding achievements).
Demonstrating good research capability and potential, with the ability to conduct independent research.
Having the potential to undertake teaching responsibilities for undergraduate and graduate courses in the discipline.
5. Zhishan Postdoctoral Fellow
Basic Requirements:
Full-time doctoral graduates who received their doctorate within the past three years; recent doctoral graduates are preferred. Age not exceeding 32 (or not exceeding 35 for exceptionally outstanding candidates).
Having a strong academic background, high innovation vitality, and academic potential, with the ability to conduct independent research.
6. Full-time Research Position / Full-time Postdoctoral Researcher
Basic Requirements:
The University also offers full-time research positions and full-time postdoctoral researcher openings. The School hosts two postdoctoral research stations, in Computer Science and Technology and in Software Engineering. Full-time postdoctoral researchers may additionally apply for the Jiangsu Province Excellent Postdoctoral Program living subsidy.
